Heavy Load is a DIY, small print art magazine inspired by the historical punk zine movement. Designed, printed and assembled in house, by my own two hands.
This project was created as an antithesis to mainstream beauty magazines that push diet culture and anti-fat propaganda.
Combining sex, horror and contemporary art, Heavy Load provides an alternative perspective on beauty, desire and dark romance as a fat, gender-fluid, queer who grew up socialised as a woman.
